09 April 2008 — According to Johnston County Sheriff's Department Reports, Chico Nakia Atkinson, 33, of 157 Arrowhead Dr. in Princeton was arrested for assaulting Othello J. Williams of 102 Park Ave, Kinston on Sunday, March 30 at 8:10 p.m. at Atkinson's home. A bond of $1,000 has been set for Atkinson's release.
Brenda Lassiter Gooding of 3070 Bizzell Grove Church Rd. in Selma reported a breaking and entering and felony and larceny at her home on Monday, March 31 at 5:15 p.m. It was reported that approximately $4,550 worth of jewelry, which included necklaces, rings, chains, earrings and cufflinks, were reported stolen. It was also reported that $400 worth of damage was done to doors of the residence.
Barnhill Contractors, located on 1288 Rains Mill Rd. in Princeton, reported a breaking and/or entering and larceny of $30,000 worth of copper wire on Tuesday, April 1 at the business. Ronnie Brinson of Barnhill Contractors reported the incident.
Family Dollar, located at 620 Dr. Jones Blvd., East, reported damage to property of the store on Tuesday, April 1 at 8 a.m. A large plate-glass window valued at $500 was damaged. Marcia Herring of Family Dollar reported the incident.
