Bulldogs hold Rebels to three

30 April 2008 — The hosting Princeton High School Bulldogs suffered a 3-1 loss to the North Duplin Jr./Sr. High School Rebels in 1A Carolina Conference varsity baseball Tuesday, April 22.

North Duplin tallied two runs in the second and one in the sixth.

Princeton’s lone run came in the third.

Mike Radford went one for three at bat and crossed home plate once. Ryan Daughtry went one for four at bat.

Chris Hinton pitched three innings and gave up four hits and two runs. He retired three batters. Radford allowed three hits and one run and walk each in four innings on the mound.

On Friday, the Princeton High School Bulldogs nipped the visiting North Johnston High School Panthers 5-4 in 1A Carolina Conference varsity baseball.

Last time the two teams met, Princeton suffered an 8-5 loss.
