Rains invited to All-Star team

30 April 2008 — Rosewood High School varsity football standout Holt Rains has been invited to play in the 2008 East-West All Star Football game at Jamieson Stadium on the campus of Grimesley High School on July 23.

Rosewood Athletic Director and head Football Coach Bobby Britt said Rains will play for the East squad probably as a defensive or tight end.

Rains is the son of Bruce and Angela Rains of Rosewood and has signed to play football at National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II School, Catawba College this fall.

Britt said that he is proud of Rains and he knows Rains’ parents are also proud. He added that is has been a while since someone from Rosewood has played in the game and it looks good for the program for him to be on the team.

“Holt is definitely deserving. He is a hard-working kid,” Britt said.
