Bulldogs claim victory over visiting Eagles

7 May 2008 — The Princeton Bulldogs claimed a 7-1 victory over rival Rosewood Eagles Friday.
With the win, the Bulldogs secured second place in the conference and secured a home playoff opener.
Dillon Daughtry crossed home in the first inning on an error.
The Eagles responded in the second when Taylor Allen advanced home on a bases-loaded error.
Bulldog Michael Radford plated a runner in the third. Adam Peedin drove home Josh Bizzell and Cameron Harrison with a triple in the sixth.
Patrick Jacobs plated one runner with a bunt and Daughtry drove home Jacobs with a triple.
Peedin had a perfect night at the plate going three for three. He scored twice and drove in two runners.
Bizzell went one for three and crossed home once while Harrison scored once.
Dillon Daughtry crossed home once and went one for two at bat while Ryan Daughtry plated two runners, crossed home once and went one for four at bat. Radford went one for four.
Ryan Daughtry allowed two hits, one run and four walks in six-and-one-third inning and struck out six batters. Chris Hinton pitched two-thirds of an inning.
Allen and Robert Franks each went one for two. Eric Martel crossed home once.
Rosewood’s Matt Neal gave up five walks and six hits and runs each in five-and-one-third inning. He retired two batters.
The Princeton Bulldogs topped the hosting Ayden-Grifton Chargers 3-1 on Tuesday, April 29 in 1A Carolina Conference baseball.
Patrick Jacobs crossed home plate twice and went one for two at bat while Mike Radford went two for three. He plated one runner.
Ryan Daughtry went two for three while Benton Myers drove in one runner and went for three. Josh Bizzell crossed home once and went one for three.
