On Saturday, June 30 at 2 p.m., Dorothy Rawlings Brooks and Dale Steven McKenna will exchange wedding vows at St. Stephens Church of Christ, 308 W. First Street, Princeton. The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Marshall and Inell Whitley Rawlings of Princeton. Her fiancé is the son of Ruth McKenna of Plattsburg, NY and the late Vincent McKenna. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.

Mike and Dawna Thompson of Princeton announce the engagement of their daughter, Stacey Marie Thompson, to Christopher David Byrd of Greensboro, son of Angie Shelly and Gerald Byrd of Augusta, Georgia.
Miss Thompson is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Etheridge of Goldsboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Thompson of Princeton. She is a 2002 graduate of Princeton High School and a 2005 graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She is also a 2007 graduate of East Carolina University with a Master’s Degree in Library Science. Stacey will be attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the fall.
Her fiancé is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. David Byrd of Selma and Mrs. Mary Stanley and the late Refus Stanley of Smithfield. He is a 2002 graduate of Smithfield-Selma Senior High School and a 2006 graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Distribution and Logistics. He is employed with Eagle Transport in Greensboro.
The wedding will be held August 5 at Lane Tree Golf Club.
