We believe in giving our readers the opinions of others and encourage letters to the editor and guest editorials. The editorial pages should be a forum for ideas...ours and yours. They belong to you, the reader. That’s why you can always get the last word with a letter to the editor.
“We are a business and sell newspapers. But that is only part of what we sell. We sell advertising so other businesses can tell their stories to their market. We are a vehicle. But we sell more than space in our newspaper. We sell our knowledge, our expertise, and our service.
“As a business, we know that we must produce a profit. The best way to assure a fair and reasonable profit is to produce a quality newspaper for our readers and our advertisers.
“We are a good newspaper, but that is not good enough. We want to be the best.”
