sheriff's report
On June 17, Anthony Lee Melrose, 21, of Austin Drive in Princeton was arrested for one misdemeanor count of operating a motor vehicle with an expired registration tag. Melrose was released under a written promise bond. An August 17 trial date has been set.
On June 14, Daniel Lemuel Pate III, 28, of Whitley Church Road in Princeton was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for five counts of obtaining property by false pretenses. Pate is accused of approaching Dudley residents and soliciting donations for a fire department that he did not represent and was not affiliated with.
